Job creation at the heart of the newly opened Hard Rock Café Sun City

The iconic Sun International’s Sun City marks its 40-year celebrations with the grand opening of the world renowned Hard Rock Café this week.

Making a significant contribution to direct employment creation in the North West Province, the 485-square-meters cafe brings to the local shores the brand’s one-of-a-kind blend of music, entertainment, collectible Hard Rock Café merchandise and authentic American flare.

Sun City joins popular cafés in South Africa, including locations in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. “We are thrilled to open our Sun City Café and further expand Hard Rock’s presence in South Africa,” said Anibal Fernandez, vice president of franchise operations & development for Hard Rock International. “Hard Rock Café Sun City provides a best-in-class dining and entertainment experience for guests with Hard Rock’s legendary style and elevated new food offerings.”

Hard Rock Café Sun City visitors can enjoy fresh, high-quality items from Hard Rock’s most extensive menu innovation in the company’s history, with more than 20 new offerings. The Cafe’s varied menu brings attention to its award-winning steak burgers, such as the Original Legendary® Burger and Double Decker Double Cheeseburger, and delicious Instagram-worthy boozy milkshakes.

Empowering communities

Since it opened doors in 1971 in London, the American-style diner has been committed to a wide variety of philanthropic causes and activities around the world. In every city it operates, the staff make it a priority to become a valuable community partner through the Hard Rock Heals Foundation – which grants to charity grant recipients around the world, and “Hard Rock Café Sun City looks forward to continuing this tradition,” adds Sun City’s General Manager, Mike van Vuuren.

The opening of Sun City Hard Rock Café comes a month after the world renowned resort hosted a two-day job fair early last month (August), which saw over thousand job seekers – from front of house, to management and waiters – in attendance. – ZONK NEWS WIRES
