Mzansi’s much-loved musicians Sho Madjozi, Mafikizolo, Holly Rey, Ralph Gum and DJ Ganyani have been lined up for the 2019 JOZI Tese which will take place later next month.

Scheduled for November 30, 2019 it will be the third time the city’s fastest growing lifestyle festival is being held. Presented in partnership with BET (DStv 129), this time around the festival will be held at the multi-purpose Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort, south of Johannesburg.

“2019 JOZI Tese is really an important year for us as we continue to work hard not only when it comes to developing and growing the Jozi Tese’s broad offering,” said festival director Tshepo Riba on Wednesday.

“This year’s top class acts is an indication of our commitment to bringing music lovers and guests nothing but the best that South Africa and the rest of the continent has to offer.”

True to its title, the festival is inspired by the spirit of togetherness, adopted from the term ‘Tese’ which simply means ‘all of us together’.

Commenting on the change of venue for this year’s festival – from Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens to the  lush green Ruimsug Stadium, Riba said: “While selecting the venue for this festival, we considered a venue that would provide us with excellent facilities, beautiful scenery and tranquil surroundings”.

Riba said they want to create unforgettable family bonding experiences, a monitored kids’ entertainment area complete with carnival rides, games, water sports, hot air balloon rides and much more will be added to the mix.

Tickets range from R150 (children) to R250 (general adults) at Webtickets or selected Pick ‘n Pay outlets. VIP and VVIP tickets cost R1500 and R2000 per person respectively.
