Lupita Nyong’o Slams Balala’s Claims of Her Being Inaccessible for Ambassadorial Job

Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o has struck back at Kenya Tourism Minister Najib Balala for claims that he has been looking for her for five years.

Balala had defended his decision why he appointed British Model and actress, Naomi Campbell as the new Magical Kenya International Tourism Ambassador instead of the Country’s Own Lupita Nyong’o.

The CS had received critics why the role was not given to a prominent Kenyan like the Oscar-winning Nyong’o.

“I know everybody is asking why not Lupita. Lupita has commitments and her managers cannot allow us to access her. We’ve spent the last five years looking for Lupita,” Balala said.

But on Friday, Lupita Nyong’o posted a picture of herself on Twitter, her laughing off Balala’s answer.

“Me when I hear the Kenyan Ministry of Tourism has been looking for me for five years. #Imrightherebaby #alternativefacts” Ms. Nyong’o wrote on Twitter.
