Zimbabwe—Kelvin Kusikwenyu alias killer T a popular Zimbabwean dancehall musician has said that his new album which is coming tomorrow is going to be a game-changer during an interview with a local newspaper.

“This is not going to be an ordinary album. It is going to be a huge project. There is something for everyone, reggae, dancehall, and consciousness. I can say that it’s a mixture of everything.” he said

The 17-tracks album titled ‘Inzwai Kuchemawo Mambo’ touches on various themes such as love and the lives of orphans.

Killer T for the last three years has worked with several producers on the album, among them: Sunshine Studios, Oskid, Cymplex, Maselo, Jamal, and Aya T seeking to give his fans a variety of good music.

Through his manager, Kudzai Biston he said, “To give my fans a real deal, I have worked with seven local music producers to cater for everyone and there are no collaborations. I am confident with the Album.”

Sunshine and Oskid produced four songs, while others shared the rest of the songs which have since been sampled on radio and social media platforms.

Killer T is regarded as one of the leading torch bearers of Zimdancehall, who made the genre popular a decade ago. He made a name for himself with albums such as Ngoma Ndaimba and Mashoko Anopfuura.

The country’s covid-19 situation does not allow public gatherings and music shows remain banned since March 2020. Biston said details of the official launch will be communicated in due course.

Killer T has worked with arts promoter Werras Entertainment on this project. Werras entertainment has a long relationship with organizations such as the National Aids council that include creating awareness campaigns in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS across Zimbabwe.
