Kenya—The Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi could become Deputy President in William Ruto’s government. This is according to former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale.

Addressing locals of Navakholo Constituency in Kakamega County on Saturday, November 6, Khalwale asked Mudavadi to quickly make his final decision since time was running out so fast.

He enticed the Amani National Congress ANC party leader with a running mate slot saying that he (Khalwale) will make sure he is not shortchanged in Ruto government.

“If Ruto becomes the president, and you his deputy, after 10 years the man is gone, Ruto out Mudavadi in,” Khalwale spoke to a cheering crowd.

In a veiled attack on One Kenya Alliance OKA principals, Dr. Khalwale further argued that they are not yet strong enough to face off with the political heavyweights like William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.

“Ford Kenya, are our parties but can only win with the MCA, Woman Rep, and MP seats,” Khalwale remarked.

The Kakamega county gubernatorial aspirant on UDA party advised all Luhyia leadership to join forces with the winning team so that they can easily own the government come 2022.

He warned that running a party like Ford Kenya, or ANC with expectations of winning the presidency was like squeezing water from a rock. Terming such outfits as a waste of time, money and energy on village brands.

But even as he promised Mudavadi the running mate position in their UDA party, dynamics pointy out that Ruto just like other top contestants in 2022 race will have to pick a running mate from Mt. Kenya region for him to win their support.
