NAIROBI, Kenya—Until now, It is becoming increasingly evident that Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka would soon lead his One Kenya Alliance brigade against Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja campaign.

Raila and Kalonzo revived their political bromance during the United Democratic Party’s National Delegates Congress on Wednesday at Multi-Media University.

Former cabinet minister and Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, a member of the One Kenya Alliance, leads the UDP.

The first speaker, Kalonzo, stated that he was willing to join the Azimio La Umoja movement.

He stated that Azimio’s policies are in line with their expectations, but that they will need an open and honest dialogue before finalizing a contract.

“As Oka, we believe in national unity, and Azimio appears to be singing the same song,” Kalonzo added, “but we are emphasizing honesty in participation.”

Gideon Moi, the Kanu chairman and Baringo Senator, was present.

Raila, for one, welcomed the Oka team to Azimio La Umoja, calling for unity of purpose ahead of the August 9 elections.

Odinga stated that the Azimio La Umoja umbrella was still in its early stages of formation and invited the Oka team to join and be a part of a journey that he claims will revolutionize Kenya.

“Azimio is still in the early stages of development. I’d want to see more parties join the coalition so that we may create the next government as a group “Raila expressed her thoughts.

The ODM and Jubilee NDC, according to Raila, will be the start of forming an alliance to win the presidency in the August 9 elections.

ODM and Jubilee are poised to hold a combined NDC, with Raila as the winner.
